Description
These are Cadillacs were on the side of the road outside of Amarillo, TX. the farmer "planted" them in the ground in his field. for 20+ years people have come to sign them with spray paint and sharpies. every year the farmer takes pictures and repaints them to be covered once again. this is car 1 of 10.
i believe this belongs in the transportation catagory because it emphasizes a country coming together to share and become one on one of America's most historic icons.

Great photo! I love Cadillac ranch, I live in Amarillo right near it and I pass by it every time we go to see my grandparents in Adrian. I've loved that place since I was a little girl.
I just want to add, it's not a "farmer" who put them there, it was a group of artists called Ant Farm, and the cars on on Stanley Marsh 3's land (not III, 3. That's what he says. He htinks Roman numerals are pretentious.) Just thought I'd add that... he's a pretty big name 'round these parts. :]
